Self-care routine is an important part of your life. Like face and body, hair is no exception. A well maintained hair contributes to a great deal of self-confidence. Today I will share with you my hair-care routine that has given me healthy and long hair over the years.
To know more on the products I use and what products you can use, watch the video below that will guide you for the right kind of product.
To begin with, I first oil my hair using coconut oil. You can use the oil that suits you the best. For me, I have been using coconut oil since a child, so that works for me.
Take some oil on the palm, rub it together and apply all over the scalp. Next, apply it all over the hair. Apply it on the tips of the hair since it needs more nourishment.
After applying hair all over your scalp and hair, with a clean finger, nails cut, massage your scalp. Massage in a circular motion. Press gently the skin of the scalp, massage it from the back of your neck and bring it towards the crown of your head. Do it 2 to 3 times. You will feel so relaxed.
Now massage from the forehead towards the crown area of the head. Next massage right from behind ear-lobe towards the crown of the neck, in a circular motion.
After massaging, l leave the oil on head for good one hour to absorb and nourish the scalp for scalp is where the hair growth happens, where the roots of the hair is.
Wash it off with a shampoo of your choice. I use Sunsilk shampoo for my hair to wash it off. It works for my hair. You can use shampoo that you have been using and wash the oil from the hair.
I use conditioner very less often. If you are using a hair conditioner, use it after the hair-wash while still the hair is wet, keep it for a while and rinse it off with water.
I usually towel dry my hair. I do not use any heat such as Hair dryer to dry my hair. I let my hair naturally dry.
To see how to apply oil correctly you can watch the video below that will help you and give you an idea how to apply hair-oil for healthy hair.
Once dried, brush or comb the hair and you are ready to go. I follow this simple hair care routine twice a week.
Best wishes and stay Lovely!
