Wash face before going to bed,  exercise, sleep well, drink lot of water.

  • Eyebrows to be maintained.
  • You will feel a lot better once you take care of yourself.

Personal Grooming –Hair

  • Clean, neat, tidy and elegantly styled and a decent haircut for men.
  • Never scratch your head in public.
  • Never comb your hair or try to tie your hair in public.
  • Hairstyle that suits the shape of your face
  • Your lifestyle should match with the hairstyle you choose.
  • Waxing for both men and women recommended for neatness and tidiness, avoid odour and look neat.

Personal Grooming – Body

  • Take care of your body and it will thank you in your old age.
  • Exercise, good sleep, nutritious food
  • Exercise affects your core muscle giving you good posture. It gives self confidence and self-esteem.
  • Clothes you want to wear and not the ones you want to fit in.
  • Gesture, a non-verbal communication

  • Picking on a pimple
  • Wiping teeth with tongue
  • Leaning on walls, lifts, counters, etc.
  • Putting finger in mouth to get rid of food.
  • Scratching
  • Looking at the compact mirror in public.
  • Biting nails
  • Talking loudly

  • Clean and neat
  • Dirty nails are rude shock and not good for your health
  • Both your finger and toe nails should be kept clean all the time. It is your body, you will feel good about yourself by following these simple measures.

Dressing Etiquette – Why

  • Dress tells a lot about you.
  • Your dress tells if you are going to a party or a market.

Dressing Etiquette – What to wear?

  • Lot of options in market and your wardrobe.
  • Ask yourself – What is the occasion?
  • Try not to get any negative attention on yourself.

E.g.

  • Going on a pyjamas or nighty to a grocery store.
  • Wearing high heels to a beach, etc. For men, wearing a flip flop to work.
  • In India, wearing a jeans pant and top to a wedding.

In this case, ethnic wear for both men and women is best.

  • You don’t have to be expensive, mix and match.

Dressing Etiquette – Dress code

  • Professional work place dress code
  • Clean neat wrinkle free clothes.
  • Minimal perfume, but highly recommended.
  • Avoid too much jewellery.
  • Shoe neat and polished. For women, sandal tidy and all dust removed.
  • Socks matching pants. Shoes matching belt.
  • Wear cufflinks for shirts that demands one.
  • Hair well styled/haircut and combed well for men.
  • Hair well styled and tied neatly away from your face for women.
